Ian Hawkins
Ian, himself a baker for many years, was the youngest ever winner of the British Baker Challenge Shield whilst at Cardiff Bakery School, spent ten years in bakery management with RHM then returned to his roots in Somerset to take over the family bakery. He developed a computer system for their own use in the late 70s using Commodore machines with 4 Kb RAM. Founded Bakery Computer Services in 1980 to supply hardware and software specifically designed to meet the needs of the Baking Industry.
