Traceable Sales Order Processing (CTSOP)

Ceres Traceable Sales Order Processing (CTSOP) is extremely powerful in that, in addition to providing all the normal functions found in normal Sales Order Processing (SOP) systems, has the capability of linking to the other Ceres Traceable modules for Inventory and Production to provide the last link in the supply chain as to which customer had precisely what production and what that production batch contained.

If required CTSOP can be run in FIFO mode or simply as a normal sales order processing system where full traceability is not required or is to be implemented at a later date.

CTSOP differs from the normal SOP in that each and ever order is treated individually and will be invoiced separately, there is no provision for weekly invoicing.

There are two Master Files, one for Customers and one for Products. Each customer may be defined differently for each and every product. Pricing is on an individual customer basis with provision for date base special offers and promotions, the product price may also be varied dependant on the product quantity.

At order entry time the operator is presented with a customer unique order profile, the customers price and anticipated stock availability is also shown. Customer credit checking is dependant on secure information in the master files. Where required the operator can change a product price just for this order, an audit trail is written together with the reason for the change. When the order is accepted anticipated stock availability levels are automatically adjusted.

When an order is first entered it is at an “Open” status and may be viewed and amended as required. The order will go through a number of different status depending on your method of operation. These status include xxxx. Not all status will be needed. Order status is used to control not only what happens to the order but also who if anyone can amend an order or processes the order to a different status.

Various totals are constantly maintained, these in addition to the actual stock figures, include totals of actual orders and also anticipated stock levels for each product for each day in the future.
